And now, Zoram, I speak unto you: Behold, thou art the servant of Laban; nevertheless, thou hast been brought out of the land of Jerusalem, and I know that thou art a true friend unto my son, Nephi, forever.

Simple English

'Zoram, I speak to you. You were Laban’s servant. But you have been brought out of Jerusalem. I know you are a true friend to my son, Nephi, forever.'

Paraphrase

‘Zoram, I’m speaking to you now. You were Laban’s servant, but you escaped Jerusalem with us. I know you’re a true friend to my son Nephi—you always will be.'
