And now my son Laman, and also Lemuel and Sam, and also my sons which are the sons of Ishmael, behold, if ye will hearken unto the voice of Nephi, ye shall not perish. And if ye will hearken unto him, I leave unto you a blessing, yea, even my first blessing.

Simple English

“My sons Laman, Lemuel, Sam, and my sons who are the sons of Ishmael, if you listen to the voice of Nephi, you will not die. If you listen to him, I give you a blessing. I give you my first blessing.”

Paraphrase

“Laman, Lemuel, Sam, and my sons-in-law—if you listen to Nephi, you won’t be destroyed. If you follow him, I give you my blessing—my firstborn’s blessing.”
