2 Nephi 1:26

And ye have murmured because he hath been plain unto you. Ye say that he hath used sharpness; ye say that he hath been angry with you. But behold, his sharpness was the sharpness of the power of the word of God, which was in him; and that which ye call anger, was the truth, according to that which is in God, which he could not constrain, manifesting boldly concerning your iniquities.

“You have complained because he has been direct with you. You say he has been harsh. You say he has been angry with you. But his harshness was the harshness of God’s word, which was in him. What you call anger was the truth. That truth is in God. He could not hold it back. He spoke boldly about your sins.”

“You’ve complained that he’s too blunt with you. You say he’s been harsh, that he’s been angry. But his sharpness came from the power of God’s word inside him. What you call anger was just truth—God’s truth that he couldn’t hold back. He spoke boldly about your sins.”
