2 Nephi 1:12

Yea, as one generation passeth to another, there shall be bloodsheds and great visitations among them; wherefore, my sons, I would that ye would remember; yea, I would that ye would hearken unto my words.

“As one group of people passes to another group, there will be killing and great suffering among them. So, my sons, I want you to remember. I want you to listen to my words.”

“Generation after generation, there will be war and terrible suffering. My sons, please remember this. Listen closely to what I’m saying.”
