and because they turned their hearts aside, saith the prophet, and have despised the Holy one of Israel, they shall wander in the flesh, and perish, and become a hiss and a byword, and be hated among all nations;

Simple English

Because they turned away from God and hated the Holy One of Israel, they will wander around the earth. They will die and become a bad example. People will make fun of them and hate them among all nations.

Paraphrase

Because they turned away, the prophet said, and despised Israel’s Holy One, they’ll wander as mortals and die. They’ll become a mockery, a proverb, hated by every nation.
