1 Nephi 16:25

And it came to pass that the voice of the Lord came unto my father; and he was truly chastened because of his murmuring against the Lord, insomuch, that he was brought down into the depths of sorrow.

The voice of the Lord came to my father. He was corrected because he had complained against the Lord. He was brought down into deep sorrow.

The Lord’s voice came to my father, and he was severely rebuked for complaining against the Lord. It brought him down into deep sorrow.
