1 Nephi 15:5

And it came to pass that I was overcome because of my afflictions, for I considered that mine afflictions were great above all, because of the destructions of my people; for I had beheld their fall.

I was overwhelmed by my troubles. I felt that my troubles were greater than anyone else’s because I had seen the destruction of my people. I had seen their fall.

The weight of it all knocked me down. My grief felt unbearable because I’d seen the destruction coming for my people. I’d watched them fall.
