Behold, I say unto you, that the House of Israel was compared unto an olive tree, by the spirit of the Lord which was in our fathers; and, behold, are we not broken off from the House of Israel; and are we not a branch of the House of Israel?

Changes

Behold, I say unto you, that the Hhouse of Israel was compared unto an olive tree, by the sSpirit of the Lord which was in our fathers; and, behold, are we not broken off from the Hhouse of Israel;, and are we not a branch of the Hhouse of Israel?

Simple English

The Spirit of the Lord that was in our fathers compared the House of Israel to an olive tree. Aren’t we broken off from the House of Israel? Aren’t we a branch of the House of Israel?

Paraphrase

“Listen, the House of Israel is like an olive tree—that’s what the Spirit showed our ancestors. And look at us—we’re a branch broken off from Israel, aren’t we?”
