Behold, I said unto them, How is it that ye do not keep the commandments of the Lord? How is it that ye will perish, because of the hardness of your hearts?

I said to them: “Why don’t you obey God’s commandments? Why will you die because your hearts are hard?”

Paraphrase

“How can you say that? Why don’t you keep God’s commandments? Your stubbornness is going to destroy you.”
