1 Nephi 13:24

And the angel of the Lord said unto me, Thou hast beheld that the Book proceeded forth from the mouth of a Jew; and when it proceeded forth from the mouth of a Jew, it contained the plainness of the Gospel of the Lord, of whom the twelve apostles bear record; and they bear record according to the truth which is in the Lamb of God;

The angel of the Lord said to me: “You have seen that the Book came from a Jewish person. When it came from the Jewish person, it contained the clear gospel of the Lord. The twelve apostles tell about this gospel. They tell the truth about the Lamb of God.”

The angel continued: “When this book first came from the Jew, it contained the clear, simple gospel of the Lord—the same gospel the twelve apostles testified about. They testified the truth about the Lamb of God.”
