1 Nephi 12:16

And the angel spake unto me, saying: Behold the fountain of filthy water which thy father saw; yea, even the river of which he spake; and the depths thereof, are the depths of hell;

The angel spoke to me, saying: “Look at the fountain of dirty water your father saw. It is the river he spoke about. Its depths are the depths of hell.”

The angel explained: “That fountain of filthy water your father saw—the river he talked about—its depths represent hell itself.”
