And it came to pass that I beheld that the rod of iron which my father had seen, was the word of God, which led to the fountain of living waters, or to the tree of life; which waters are a representation of the love of God; and I also beheld that the tree of life was a representation of the love of God.

Simple English

Then I saw that the iron rod my father had seen was the word of God. It led to the fountain of living waters and to the tree of life. The waters represent God’s love. I also saw that the tree of life represents God’s love.

Then I understood: the iron rod my father saw was God’s word, leading to the fountain of living water—the tree of life. Both the water and the tree represented God’s love.
