1 Nephi 10:13

Wherefore, he said, it must needs be that we should be led with one accord, into the land of promise, unto the fulfilling of the word of the Lord: That we should be scattered upon all the face of the earth.

So he said we must be led together to the promised land. This would fulfill the Lord’s word that we would be scattered all over the earth.

So we needed to be led together to the promised land, fulfilling the Lord’s word that we would be scattered across the earth.
